White God

We have a truly unique discussion for you this week about a truly unique film. Continuing our series #FoGgoweeners covering otherwise unrelated films which were recommended to us at this year's FoGgoween, we cover a film from Hungary called WHITE GOD, about an abandoned dog who leads an uprising among the canine community against his human oppressors.

Remarkably thoughtful and sensitively made, despite its harrowing premise, White God is a rich text, providing a profound opportunity not only to re-assess how we value those around us, but how we can seek to reconcile the harsh realities of the world and its habits with the holy effort to find and to build a place to rest. It's a wonderful film and a wonderful discussion. Also featuring a very fun game of "What's the Sequel" in our Patron segment (with perhaps the longest sustained laughter we've ever had on the show), this is a conversation we hope encourages you and that you greatly enjoy.
