The Menu, with Charlie Baber

We continue our look back at some of the best films of last year, #2022.2, with a discussion of the biting horror satire of THE MENU. Starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Fiennes, the film goes to some unexpected and emotionally complicated places which forces us to think about our own complicity with destructive things in the name of art or experience, and to question the attraction we have for people who may be monsters beneath their thin veil of expressed love.

Joining us is comic artist, writer, and friend of the show Charlie Baber to tell us about his upcoming book INCOMPATIBLE and unpack the myriad of complex themes this film presents to us. Also featuring a Patron segment where we share our own positie and negative memories associated with food, this is a lively and thoughtful conversation we hope you enjoy.
