Stephen King's Night Shift (Quarterly King)

Over the past month, we've taken a unique approach for us in covering Stephen King's first short story collection: NIGHT SHIFT. Following individual segments with rotating guests and hosts, each devoted to one or two stories, we've now arrived at the finish line.

This discussion features Reed and Nathan joined by Ian Olson and Andy Whitfield to do a deep dive on King's excellent essay which serves as the foreword to Night Shift (beginning with the gripping first line, "Let's talk, you and I. Let's talk about fear."); as well as sharing further thoughts and experiences in our own journeys at this unique intersection of faith and fear. Lackey the Listicle also counts down the top ten stories from the collection and each of us spends a moment discussing the stories which stayed with us after we put the book down.

We hope you enjoy this concluding summary of our latest Quarterly King and all of the installments that have led us here. So without further ado, let's talk... let's talk about fear.
