Interview with Natashia Deon, author of The Perishing

We have another special treat for you before we dive back into our usual content next month, an interview with award-winning novelist, professor, lawyer, advocate, and friend, Natashia Deon. Her most recent novel is called THE PERISHING, where an immortal being arrives in 1930s Los Angeles with no memory of how she came to be there or what had come before. As she makes her way through the world around her -- a time nearly a century ago which somehow still eerily feels like yesterday -- the truth of her journey comes into clarity, culminating in a nail-biting and emotional finale filled with wonder, terror, and hope.

We had the privilege to speak with Natashia about her work outside of writing, her creative process, and how we as a people come to process turmoil and death in the relationships around us. It's a hearty and lovely conversation we were immensely grateful to have. We hope you will seek out Natashia's work and that you enjoy this discussion.
