We continue with our series #inthemourning, examining loss and cataclysm, and its smaller mini-series, #remnant by having a conversation about episodes 5 & 6 of season 1 of the HBO series THE LEFTOVERS and an extended conversation about David Koepp's adaptation of Richard Matheson's STIR OF ECHOES. We welcome new friend of the show Noel T. Manning II to discuss the 1999 thriller which in its time was heavily overshadowed by the earlier released The Sixth Sense, but has earned a decent following in the years afterward for its strong lead performance by Kevin Bacon, its effective set pieces and effects, and its resonant themes of modern suburbia and the desperation to be more than "ordinary".
