Lady in the Water

It's here everyone! We're diving back into the M. Night Shyamalan pool. And this time we're headed to the deep end.

Welcome to Shyamalamarama!, a comprehensive look at one of the most inspiring, polarizing, entertaining, and notorious filmmakers in history. We're going to be covering all of his films that we haven't already, and even revisiting (to a degree) the ones we have. We start with LADY IN THE WATER, the 2006 film that many of his critics cite as the beginning of the worst run in his filmography. Nathan and Reed come down on somewhat different sides about this film, and the resulting conversation is not only ripe for nerdy debate, but also points the way to some common inspiration as well.

Also featuring a Patron-only discussion of the first three episodes of the Apple TV+ series, SERVANT -- for which Shyamalan was the showrunner, this is going to be a fun and lively series that we hope you'll all enjoy.
