B-Sides #5: Marvel's Avengers: Endgame

We began this journey called #inthemourning with a conversation about Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. It prompted a months-long exploration about learning how to lose as we discussed each episode of HBO's The Leftovers and more than a dozen films which dealt with ghost stories, paradigm shifts, and apocalypses. Now, in this coda, we return again to the MCU for a discussion about AVENGER'S: ENDGAME. And while the expected nerd talk about favorite MCU films and moments takes place (including a listener-crafted Watchin'/Readin'/Listenin' tune that you have to hear to believe) what then emerges is a vulnerable and hope-filled declaration that perhaps even after the worst has happened, our stories have another chapter to unfold.

"...weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5b

We have been and remain "in the mourning" but even as we continue to navigate these challenging times together, we have hope that even the inevitable will not have the final word. We are joined once again by our good friend Ian Olson as we assemble to discuss MARVEL'S AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

We hope you'll join us and we hope you enjoy it. Most of all, we hope it encourages you as it did for us.

We love you 3000.
